Unless otherwise indicated, this Privacy Statement applies to all Huckert’s International-owned websites.

Respect for your privacy

This page explains our policy regarding personal data you may leave with us when visiting our site. We are committed to the protection of your privacy and the confidentiality of the information you provide to us. Huckert’s International will never sell, rent or divulge information about its customers to third parties.

In accordance with the Act of 8 December 1992 relating to protection of privacy with regard to processing of personal data, amended by the Act of 11 December 1998 enacting Directive 95/46/EC of 24 October 1995 of the European Parliament and the Council relating to protection of individuals with regard to processing of personal data and free circulation of such data, the data with which you provide us is intended to ensure the monitoring of your order or file within Huckert’s International. Collecting information

When you use our website to find information on our products, place an order or receive special offers, Huckert’s International may ask you to provide specific information via a form. Personal data marked with an asterisk (*) is necessary for processing orders or providing services. By choosing to enter and submit the information required when it is requested, you consent to the collection and use by Huckert’s International of this information for the purpose of offering you the services described below.

How we use the information you provide

Any information collected by Huckert’s International will be used to improve our products, services and website or to communicate with you by means of newsletters and announcements if you give us permission to do so. Huckert’s International uses the information and/or e-mail address for internal use only and will not sell, rent or give this information to third parties.

Monitoring activity on our website and in our newsletters

A cookie is a small text file (4 kb maximum) sent by a web server to a web browser. Cookies are a way for the server to remember specific items of information. The information contained in a cookie can only be read by the web server which originally sent the cookie.

When you connect to the Huckert’s International server, we use a temporary cookie (not stored on your hard disk). It is only used to identify your connection (IP address, country, date, time and length of connection, pages visited, etc). It does not contain any personally identifiable information. This data is processed for statistical purposes and for improvement of the site and the service offered. It is neither sold, nor transferred to third parties.

When you connect to the Huckert’s International server, we use a cookie stored on your hard disk which will be re-read by the server on your subsequent visits to our site. It enables us to identify you and avoids you having to provide information again that you have already provided (when filling in a questionnaire or for the choice of language for example). The length of time we keep this cookie is several years, unless you delete it.

The use of cookies enables Huckert’s International to better understand the activities of users and to measure the success of different e-marketing campaigns. This information is important since it enables us to continue to offer products and services that best respond to your needs and demands. Information reflecting the behaviour of visitors to our site is compiled in aggregate form and does not represent easily identifiable individual information.

Keeping your personal information secure

Huckert’s International considers protection of the personal information with which you provide us as very important. Personal information is stored on password-controlled servers with limited access. When important information is transferred via the Internet, this data is protected using encryption, more specifically using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

However, perfect security on the Internet does not exist and we are unable to guarantee that the transfer of data is impenetrable or safe from piracy. Internal data is shared using secure transmissions and maintained in secure databases. Huckert’s International undertakes to use its best efforts to protect your personal data to avoid in particular its becoming deformed, damaged or communicated to unauthorised third parties.

Huckert’s International may use certain outside companies to perform services on its behalf (delivery of products for example). We only provide to such companies the personal information necessary for performing the service required. These companies are not authorised to use this information for other purposes.

Extranet / Intranet

If the site includes pages with limited access, reserved for our customers and/or suppliers, a user registering on the site will be allocated an ID (e-mail address) and a password. The user must maintain confidentiality of his account number and/or password, as appropriate. He shall be liable for any use of his account, irrespective of whether or not he has effectively or expressly authorised it.

Subscribing: By means of your prior explicit registration, your e-mail address will be used for you to receive one or more newsletters. These are intended to communicate to you information on our new products and services, promotional offers, and participation in certain events.
